ok im leaving to go get my 383 SOON and i told the guy i would swap power steering box for a manual box well there is one problem. MINE IS STILL ON THE CAR! how do i get it off i need to know quick any help will be greatly appricated

there is gonna be a pin in the shaft and the obious bolts but keep in mind i think that the steering columns are different

its not gonna be something quick

Don't worry about. Just take the one I have and when you sell the other slip me a few bucks. See yah soon, drive safe.

Yes they are different length because the power steering box and the manual steering boxes are different length. I changed mine to power steering and had to get a different column.

I have the colum, you can have as well just come and get it. I am not worried about it, I just want to see you do something with this.

You need to remove the pitman to center link, the 4 12 point bolts that hold it on, the lil roll pin in the shaft coupler, lines and wahlah.

you need an adapter or a manual column to run manual box.

Come to think of it this has the adaptor, 2 steel plates sandwiching a 1/2 piece if 10? ply rubber.

cool i cant wait and ya i guess im gonna keep it the more i think about it the more i have no reason to sell it im 15 so if it sits for 10 years who cares at least i have a 71 dart with a BIG BLOCK
