Any one need a distributor checked out? I just got a sun Distributor tester, thinking 30 with the ride back. Had no idea where to put this but I know there is a need for it. Just shoot me a message if needed.

an oldie but a goodie.

$30 seems very reasonable, but what would one expect in a test report? Things like RPM and vacuum advance plots, point resistance, point bounce, dwell and timing variation between cylinders, hysteresis measurements....?

Here is the sheet I use.

The test sheet looks good.

I can help with variable reluctance interface for electronic distributor pickups. I have experience with NCV1124 from OnSemi https://www.onsemi.com/pub/Collateral/NCV1124 DATA SHEET.PDF It will provide a signal without additional delays, associated with using HEI or other ignition boxes.

I also have experience making very accurate cylinder spacing in degrees using micro-controller. That method is much faster to make readings vs using timing light setups. It will require a timing reference per revolution, for cylinder identification.

Can you do aold two stroke John Deere single point dizzies?
