I've had a clunking from the front when I pulled out of the drive way. (usually backing up and turning. I noticed the right strut rod bushing was toast.) I put a PST kit in the front end a couple years ago and thought it should be good. Today I stopped by a Mopar friend today that has a nice shop with a hoist. A simple bushing isn't a simple project. The strut rods don't come out without backing out the torsion bar, removing the wheel, separating the upper ball joint , and the sway bar link and pulling the whole thing loose. I must have put the bushing in backwards. (the one piece bushings are supposed to go in with the tapered side to the front.) All went well and I didn't notice any abnormal noises yet. Fingers crossed. Thanks Dave for your shop and help! Opps. The neighbor is calling......it's toddy time. Had better go. She's buying! LOL

I caint stand them one piece bushings. Every one I ever saw tore up.

I went with the later donut style bushings on my early A strut rods. Never thought much about it maybe I screwed up too.

Thanks to all the members and friends around us that have a shop and ready to help us out.
Here is to our friends with tools and lend a work space to us :wav:
Thank you Dave :hello2: I hope all is good now toolmanmike:hello2:

You got that right Mike. I will make it right with Dave. He didn't want a penny for the use of his help and shop. He said he would rather work on an old Mopar for nothing than to work on a Hundai or Daiwoo or the likes. Dave is a big Mopar fan. He has a AAR, a 71 Cuda 383/4 speed, a Little Red Express Truck, and he and his wife just traded their Crossfire for a new Challenger. He's a great guy!
He even had the special tool to pull the torsion bar. It takes a lot to impress the toolman. LOL (it was in the top drawer of his MAC tool box) It doesn't get any better than that! toolmanmike
