To cover my old ugly old woodgrain. With the black interior the carbon fiber looks blends in well. They had them for $30 on EBay last week. Good for a driver or that different look.

I like that! I thought about buying the carbon fiber dash bezel from Redline gauge works. They run about $110. Yours looks just as good and cheaper.

I'm planning something similar. But I've worked with real CF before. I'm planning to make the gauge bezal using Autometer Gauges with a GF panel and also getting a factory center console and chaning it ove rto CF as well.

I was thinking about doing a stock gauge cluster except with real wood backing and white gauges and black lettering. The plan was to lay a piece of wood in over the faux wood with an adhesive or nice looking brass bolts. The white gauges would be relatively easy, you'd just have to take off the metal backings and repaint them.
The wood might be a little out of place, but I suppose I'm a traditionalist :)
