Let me translate this ad into plain English.......
Hi. My car has a couple of decent parts but is blown apart and pretty much trashed. Just about everything needs to be replaced or repaired or is missing entirely - good luck on your treasure hunt to obtain the needed parts! I can't be bothered to take photos that are in focus, or show much that is pertinent, or are too close up to give any perspective - and I can't be bothered to even turn a hose on this turd to do something about the dirt. Original paint 90% there means it looks like crap and needs LOTS of time and money just to look lousy. But look at the bright side, you can practice your rust and body repair skills in the comfort of your own driveway! Feel free to take out a second mortgage to get this thing in order. As a final fon-gue to the world, I made sure to price this at least double what it's worth, maybe triple. But look at the bright side, you'll be upside down as soon as you take ownership! No annoying waiting period to realize you just lost your shorts, your marriage, and your retirement fund!

Until I read the ad...I was going to say- "that's a decent 'current" price for a nice looking "29" A body.
You're gonna have to clarify what "new body" means exactly, though.

Out of curiosity, I crunched some numbers.
If Dan had invested his "supposed" $25k five yrs ago when his charade started and it gained just 8% annually along with a measly $20/month contribution, he'd have over $38k (but probably just as many excuses)
