the one thing i liked bout that show is how they throw a car together and go beat it right away... my car has been drivable for like a year and i'm like.... i'll go 15 miles away this time.... takes me time to trust it.

I hate all the burnout **** though... i don't get why people get excited bout it

I really enjoyed the original episode where Freiburger and Finnegan got that thing running, and then took it to the track....while running at a pretty severe angle! Makes me chuckle just to think of it.

I always enjoyed their "What the hell!" attitude, and they made a great team, I think.

Well.. it's also a lot easier when you have unlimited money, free parts and 2 support cars behind you :)

I agree. It especially irks my "frugal" gene. I guess it's mainly about clicks. But I'll bet they don't go out and ruin their own tires (unless it's for one of their shows.)

I always enjoyed the show, too. But some of it was down right dangerous. How many times have you been on a road with no shoulder in whatever car, and hoped it didn't stop running? And pulling over on a shoulder is far from safe, also. It's one of the most dangerous places you can be. And if you do break down, you are jeopardizing the safety of any(every)one who stops to help. I pull off the road completely when checking trailer tie downs, or like when my F150 used to shut off inexplicably. (Luckily, when there was a place to pull over!) One time, I was pulled over for going a "bit" too fast. I pulled into a parking lot. The trooper said he appreciated it, and let me slide.

Luckily i have only ever broken down twice that i can remember... blew the driveshaft out of my challenger once (my fault) and.. hmm had to be something else.... I'm crazy paranoid bout tying stuff down in a truck... i have a buddy that doesn't tie anything down and it makes me nuts
