1968 dodge d100 for sale by owner - Butte, MT - craigslist
$2200

From the above ad:

"!973 dodge ram with 1970 340 wedge motor . Not running , will run easily . Electric radiator leaks , new aluminum standard radiator comes with truck . 8 ' bed . Truck is clean , all trim is there . 2 pieces of trim need to be installed . Bench seat perfect , comes with Carhartt seat cover . Comes with cover . Truck comes with provenance and service records ."

Yeah, I knew those electric radiators wouldn't work out. I'll stick with the fossil fuel versions.

My favorite part is this: "Not running , will run easily." And the seller knows this how, exactly? Think about it for a second. It's in the seller's best interest to offer-up a running vehicle, as they can ask, and receive, more money for it. So if the truck truly "....will run easily", why hasn't the seller taken care of this?

If I were to respond to this ad I would say, "If it's so simple, why don't you do it?"

Maybe in Fl.! Depends on the state. Tx. bonded titles are easy (not that easy!) to get just PIA and $400 or so.

I was a joke.

If it's that easy, do it and make the sale easier.

Most times (and most states) it's either a nightmare, or impossible.

Back when I lived in Missouri, they changed the title law where all I had to do was walk in there with a bill of sale, NOT even notorized. But they changed their law back to where not it is bad they say.

Last old classic I bought a few months ago, seller had a title but for another car!!! ha. But this year Tx. stopped the state inspection (unless in a Dem smog city!). So now, a tag is a tag!!!!!
