(ID help) 18 or 23 spline?

Can anybody visually ID this for me? Seller has been little help.

Best comparison photo I've seen yet, thanks. I asked the seller which one it is.....nothing but radio silence, lol, supposedly it has a BB bell housing and was off a 440.

Well I can count 12 just by looking at the picture, So my guess would be 23, not so hard!

Just because it was behind a 440 doesn't mean it belonged behind a 440! 23 spline.

And the front has been bobbed to fit into an unmachined crank;no biggie just run the BB pilot bearing.

There are 4 ratios available in that box,including the overdrive box. And 3 retainer sizes. Each one has a specific application.
That one looks like an overdrive retainer. Buyer beware
