i have my carter T-Q in the tank at work it is finnly getting clean but the # i give the parts place keep saying the # don,t come up for a carb. kit. one # 6-2146 the other 1-2294. i google them and came up with 74-77 440 truck does that sound right. i know it came off a 440-3 motor.

try this list http://www.carburetor.ca/Tech/Carter/tqguide-Vaanth.html i ran a 9036 t-quad with a GP Sorenson kit # 96-246c from autozone it was about $18 i bet that kit will work in yours my 9036 is a 440 truck carb 1975

theirs a #9214 78/79 440 on that list, maybe they punched the 9 upside down and maybe the last 6 is a S most carb #'s end in a s

very good read. going to napa saterday the counter guys has sum pic,s and knew my stepdads truck so hope i can match up a kit? it does not have any extar parts on bowl.

ok i open my eye up and seen the right # it,s 9096s it was off a 77 440 truck motor came out of the tank pretty clean now i,m looking localy for a kit and floats.thanks for the help
