I read an article last night that every year for the last few years that the P/S deck heights have been getting shorter each year. I think that they may be below 9" now. I know what the article said the reason for this is. But what are the thoughts in here about this?
Because the stroke is relatively short (IIRC it’s under 3.700) if the decks are tall it makes either the r/s ratio too high or the pin is too low in the piston.
The last time I did the math the r/s ratio was 1.6x-1.7x.
The heads flow exceptionally well so the r/s ratio can be lower than with garbage heads like us mortals deal with.
