Ignition box or not!

Want some opinions about Dist..Mine is fuc*#d up and i was wondering if you guys could help me to choose a new dist.
I'm running the original one(WAPSA)that came in some of the BRasilan Dodge's,with the silver ignition box.
I've seen a Distr. on Summit that doesn't need a ignition box(optical)4 sale (Is it a good change?)with almost the same price that the Mopar Distr.with orange box.I liked the ideia of no I.Box .
I want upgrade my ignition without spend lot's of money with that,like MSD combos!
So,what you guys think it would be a good igniton combo for a 318?I've got a MSD Blaster 2 coil.

Sounds like your talking about a Mallory ignition with the photo optic led light. Called the uni-light.
Mallory makes excellent stuff for many many people. The only thing about the uni-light is if the L.E.D. light fails, your stuck until a new L.E.D. unit is put into the distributor.

This same system is what powers my Harley Sportster. It just failed. Easy to replace.
