I am having problems with my ignition module. I keep having to change the module after a couple of runs down the 1/4 mile. I will take one out and replace it with another and the same thing happens. The thing is I don`t think the modules are going bad, because after letting the one that quit working sit for about an hour I can put it back in and it will work fine. I have learned to keep 3 with me at all times. Any suggestions??

Need a little more info.
Are we talking the ECU ?
MSD ?
What are we talking here ?
Be a little more specific with the entire ignition system.

What kind/ what source did you get the module?

What are you running for a coil?

What are you running for a ballast resistor?

Is this street driven?

Does the battery boil over?

Have you checked the charging voltage?

Talking about the ECU. I am using a MSD blaster coil. Summit Electronic Distributor Part #SUM-850003. 2 prong ballast resistor. The charging system is fine, no battery problems. The ECU is grounded good. The car is very rarely driven on the street.

It is imperitive that you use the correct ballast resistor (correct ohms) with the MSD Blaster. I believe it is 0.85 Ohms. Give them a call to make sure.
