Ignition switch sloppy

Hi Guys
just noticed my ignition switch has play in it and was wondering if i can replace the switch only and keep the same key or do i need to replace entire ignition switch with a new key as well ?

You can replace just the switch and keep the existing lock cylinder and key. They are two separate parts. But be advised the lock cylinder may be loose and sloppy, too, in which case you'll either need to have a new lock cylinder reworked to accept your old key, or replace the ignition and door lock cylinders with a new matched set of three.
