figured out my brake problem

I'm missing the fitting's that go into the caliper for the brake line to go into. I just put the brake line in the caliper. Well the brake line is to long, hence the fitting. Well they are bottoming out inside the caliper keeping fluid from flowing. Essentially I plugged the lines.

The good new's is the guy at Wilwood said I have a 50/50 chance my caliper's are still good.

Thats an understandable mistake. Normally thats where the line would go, and the threads are the same. Glad to here its working now.....so when do we get to see the smokey burn out pics :D :D :D

If it requires a special fitting there? why wasn't it supplied with the calipers? I'm sure I would have done the same thing.

Pay close attention to aftermarket conversion kits, I've
done 2 rear disc brake conversion kits, 1 from Baer,
the other from Stainless Steel Brakes Corp. The SSBC
kit was the worst brake kit I have ever seen, 2 rear calipers
had to be returned cause they leaked and and were stuck,
I had to pay for shipping. There tech line is next to useless,
for a direct bolt-on replacement everything had to be fabricated.
The splash guard backing plate for the rear discs did not even come
close to fitting on, the tech line said I did'nt need it because I
lived in California. What the hell kind of answer is that I'm from
Chicago, what if I drove the car bacK home?
The Baer kit was a little more straightforward, only had a minor
glitch with the parking brake, other than that not a bad kit.
As for SSBC I would'nt buy a can brake fluid from them.
A $1400 dollar kit and it sucks!!!!! :thumbdow:

If you buy the Wilwood kit, it tells you about the fitting in the assembly instructions. Brett bought his as a complete rear end so he probably didn't get the Wilwood instructions. For the price you pay, Moser should have had the fittings in the calipers so it would really have been a bolt in. JMO since its only $5-$10 in fittings and you're paying well over $2k for the rear.
