:cussing: I've put every year since 1980 here in Maine, and never got my name pulled. I guess I'll have to move to NB. Give "em" lead poisoning Jack. :thumleft: Tim

I have been reading on moose hunting and ran in to this Pic.
I could not believe how big they are.
And how mean and territorial they can be.
Can you carry a side arm when you are hunting these giant's?
I bet Jack has a big freezer
And what is the largest moose you have taken Jack??.
No hand guns allowed here Mike. As far as the biggest we have taken, it would be the one my brother shot 5 years ago. He was the second gun on my tag. We were walking back to the stand for the afternoon hunt and I could smell a bull on the ridge on our upwind side. My brother had never shot a moose, so I set him up in a stand I have and I walked 200 yards downwind of him. I gave one set of calls and the moose stepped out right in front of my brother. (100 yds). That moose had 21 points and weighed in at between 1300 and 1400 lbs. We got 752 lbs of meat out of it. I have a pic of it at work that I will post tomorrow.
Jack
You made your brothers day.
