Our daughter is off to Tampa to play in the World Ball Hockey Championships next week. She made the Canadian Womans Masters National Team and is now Assistant Captian. It's not the biggest sport in the world but any time you can represent your country in a sport, I think it's a big deal. Here name is Sheila Elliott and she wears #66. Here is a link to the Canadian Ball Hockey Association site. https://www.facebook.com/BallHockeyCanada

Very cool Jack! My boys played ice hockey and lacrosse. One thing about lacrosse and ball hockey....NO COASTING!! If you can play the game you can bet you are in great shape! No easy feat!
Again, congrats and GOOD LUCK!

:occasion: Congrats Jack!! Hope Sheila & her team go ALL THE WAY....8)

Congratulations Jack! Hope they win.
Any chance some of it might be on U.S. tv?

WOW!! Congrat's  Will this be her first time way down south in Tampa Jack :)
I would be a proud papaw also :D:D:D

Thanks everybody. I will pass on the good wishes.

They will be webcasting the Canadian games. That site is www.cbha.com and after that it will be follow the links.

This is the first time she made the team Mike. She had tryouts two other times and was an alternate both times. She has also traveled all over North America.

I wish I could go watch her but it just isn't in the cards right now.

Sorry to hear you can't make the games Jack. If you can drive down I can give you a place to stop for the night (both ways)...

You know, I never been a hockey fan. I don't DISlike it. Just never seen what all the hooah was about. But I AM a parent. I know you gotta be proud, Jack. It's always great when your kids do something worthwhile. Cudos buddy.

Womans team Canada is doing great. They are now 3-0. I just finished watching the 3rd game and both teams played very hard but Canada beat the U.S. 3-0. My daughter played hard and may have scored the second goal, it was hard to tell who put the ball in. At the very least she got an assist. Go Sheila Go!
