Saw a complete set at the Fall Fling, was gonna get it, but this little voice in my head said "NO"!!! If I recall, I read a article somewhere saying to stay away from them, they are more trouble than they are worth. Does anyone have any thoughts, good, bad, or ugly? Would have been nice to say I have all Mopar stuff on my car.

They are huge and very heavy! I have also heard that the parts are difficult to find, an aftermarket set-up would probably be easier and better.

Was that the one in the white buckets??

Really depends on the price. Isn't there a thread here on the Jeep conversion. What's the comparison on the prices.

The disks are not available new, so if you ever needed one you are going to pay NOS through the nose. Good thing is they are so beefy I bet they'd last a very long time. They are the same thickness as the fronts because they use a front caliper. That's overkill. I wouldn't flinch at cutting them under spec either.

IIRC, you have to mill a little of the caliper adapter to get it on a 8 3/4. The yellow supercharged 69 Charger in the show side did that on his setup.

These were in a blue plastic crate. Did not ask how much cause of the little voice in my head.

Must be the same ones.

I think your voice made a good decision.

Every time I see a set of those at a swap I hear people contemplating, considering, and debating on buying them. And at the end of the day, they are almost always still there unsold. I doubt that's a coincidence.

Well I'm glad I didn't. My grandfather worked for Chrysler for 30 years, he said they were junk then and even worse now. Glad the voice kicked in.
