In The Garage working quick question

I have quick question regarding the transmission dipstick tube. I just installed my oil dipstick and want to put the trans one in. I noticed it just kinda slips right in and bolts to the bell housing. Is there anything else that holds it in?

There should be an O-ring on the end of the tube that goes in the tranny,and a Bellhousing bolt to hold the Dipstick tube near the top.That's it !

Kinda what i thought. had to pull the motor up to do the oil dipstick was gonna do the trans one too while its up. Didnt wanna have to redo it. Thanks

not sure what sive but yes it is suppose to have an o-ring on it

if your o ring doesnt seal it get some silicone put it around below the o ring and put it in and letit dry it wont leak...

or get a little thicker o-ring.
