Indian style on-star button

My wife's family vehicle is an off brand truck,equipped with on-star
In case you are not familiar with the concept,it works as follow

There is a button in the car which you can push in case of an emergency
(If you lock yourself inside the car, for instance)
After pressing the button, a girl comes in through the radio speakers to help you out
It is in essence an intercom

Today I realized my duster is equipped with an antiquated Indian style version of this feature
Right next to the brake is a switch you can press with you foot
As soon as you press it, 2 large smoke signals will be emitted by the rear tires...I'm still waiting on a response

My brother tried that button in his 68 Charger, and was told "It is illegal to break traction on a highway in West Virginia." The officer was admiring the car, and did not give him a ticket.
