Indy Mega block - no lifter oiling?
My new aluminum block has no lifter oiling. Before calling them and looking stupid, does anyone know if this is correct?

Yep, that's correct. You have to order it gun drilled or send it back and have it done. I've also seen individual oil lines run to each lifter bore in the lifter valley from an oil passage in the back of the block.

Why do you need oil to your lifters anyway? Dont you want your lifters to explode and ruin your engine? LOL Jim is 100%, you gota pay Indy EXTRA to get oil to your liftrs

lifters get enough oil from all the splashing and squirting, no need to oil them.

Lifters never got enough oil and thats why so many solid rollers explode their needle bearing, they get to hot and dont get a Consistent oil supply. This is why all new style solid roller lifters have priority oiling to the roller, whether its a needle bearing or bushing. Keep them lubed, keep them cool and they last a lot longer. But you have to have the rest of the valve trian set up right as well or you have no hope. And if you need pushrod oiling, like a LOT of high end rocker systems today, you have to have oil to the lifters.
