My factory 2949 068 22" radiator is back from the shop with the New high efficiency core installed. I've kept the original frame and tanks so the numbers are correct.

I couldn't increase to 4 rows because there was no room left in the tank.
So we increased the tube count by decreasing the spacing from 9/16 to 3/8 and increasing the fin count from 8 per inch to 14 per inch.

These changes effectively increase surface area for cooking by roughly 25% so it's like having a 4th row :)

I figured I'd cross post here since not everyone will read my build thread.

Here is a great primer on High Effeiciency radiator cores

Nice! I can't wait to hear how well it works.
I can tell you it works great, this thing removes a lot more heat, it keeps 190 on a 90 degree day in traffic, t also saved my engin when I threw a belt and my temp crept to 260,

i need to get the one that will be going in the dart recored.. whats something like that cost?

Very interested also. I have to do something to get rid of some of the excess heat in the engine well.

most local radiator shops should be able to do it for you.. i ended up going to a local guy that happens to also be a mopar guy.. did an awesome job..

radiator was already 3 row core just beat to hell... he just put a high efficiently 3 row core in it for me,. they can also most of the time make a 2 row into a 3 row too if you want..

Was your cost about the same?

i think mine was a little higher but its a different rad so that could make a difference..
i called his guy but it was an hour drive to drop it off to a location. then he would get it delivered to him in a day or two then get me a price then do it then send it back to where i dropped it then i'd have to drive back up there...

i dropped it off on a monday 20 minutes away from home on my way to work and had it back friday on the way to work.. worked out well for me..
