Just a wrench short of a full tool box !
Just in a dilemma - the first 4 speed I ever bought and still have had the input shaft cut off to use I guess in a automatic crank. I'm now in the possession
of two nice 360 engines that both had automatics behind them. I know I will need a 360 standard flywheel which I have.
I have a little 273 factory 4 speed crank I'm using for reference with a factory input shaft. As you can see it goes way far in there.
On the 360's - one I put a flywheel one and the other has the auto flexplate on - the input doesn't look like it goes all the way like the 273 does.
If you look at the 273 flange - you can see it's about 1/4 shorter than the 360's.
The 273 crank has the blue tape over the throws.....wish I had the photos in order !
I think I'll be okay but thought I would get youse guys to weigh in..
Thanks in advance.....
