Inside hood release for 69 Dart

i'm interested in putting a inside hood release on my 69 Dart. I don't think they made any that way back in '69. Can i use a later model A body cable release latch on my dart?
 
Correct, they didn't make them in 69 but you can probably retrofit a later one. I would go with a 73-76.

Did all A bodys have the inside latches from 73-76? How can I tell the difference?
 
Hi, Not all have the interior hood release, If you find a Dart 'SE" it likely has one. The SE was an up-line trim model. Look near the area where the emerge. brake handle is and just to the left of the emerge. handle is where they mounted the hood release, under the dash ,drivers side.
