Instrument Panel recon & radio repair

Removed panel to replace top dash pad, replacing lights as some burned out. Suggestions to paint front panel, thought of using Argent Silver, also the chrome around speedometer and other places. Is there another brand of silver paint to use (Classic wants 30.00 a spray can) also chrome paint to use? Do I lightly scuff up finish for paint to adhere. Pics included. As for radio thumbwheel design style, who would you send it out to be tested and repaired? TIA..

While your bezel is out, Id suggest upgrading to Philips Ultinon LED lights in your cluster, WAY brighter and recommended by slantsixdan, and doing the IVR upgrade as well. Lots of good information on this upgrade here on the site. I did it, not expensive and not that hard to do.

I put a new connector on and soldered wire to the points where the pins were. I also changed everything over to LED's.ED'S.
I also changed the Ameter to a volt meter.
