I would like some ideas of how most guys insure thier car(s). Add it to their regular family policy or go with some one like Hagerty. And what problems,if any, have you had with claims. Thanks

Up here in Alberta there are a couple outfits that offer a Vintage Insurance for old cars, cheap at 300/yr, glass collision the works. Can't drive it more that 2500/yr, can't drive it to work only weekends and car shows, no racing of course, no one under the age of 25 drives it (my boys pissed about that one), and they recommend an appraisal by a reputable agent every 3 or 5 yrs, I can't remember. Mine is insured for the appraised value.

0 ded on comp. Kept in climate controlled garages and driven maybe 1000 miles ayear,

May I ask what is "0 ded on comp" is?
Mine is similar to yours Terry. It's through State Farm. Aprox. 256$ for the year.
