Maybe it's just a casting to do Chevy and Chrysler with and then machine them for the Chrysler in which case they just don't sit right who knows anymore.
Then again sit on this little bit of knowledge... every brand new Edelbrock intake manifold I've ever tried to bolt on an engine needed to be machined to fit right, so... If that thing there sits too low I'd imagine an Edelbrock intake would sit just right.
Their demensions all stem from the same starting point.
