Intake choice.

I really don't take my carbureted cars up to the high country much. Generally stay in the 3700ft. to 7000ft. range for the most part. The drive on I-70 from here to Denver has 10800ft. and 11000ft climbs to go over.
Different story with EFI.
Haven't decided what is going to happen with the 340. I want to use the fresh long block with my RPM heads. I don't know what the pistons are like until I pull the heads. Have both 4-spd and automatic setups to work with. This is a "down the road" project and just don't want to sell off anything that I'll need later for this. I'm keeping the RPM intake. This motor could end up with EFI, who knows.
I do really appreciate all the info. AJ, your always talking above my pay grade. :)

There was a period of time when Weiands were known to have core shift issues with some regularity. I have heard of a few Team G bb intakes that were particularly bad. Something to check.
