Intake Manifold Gaskets

Was wondering if the steel valley pan gasket was enought to seal an Edelbrock Performer 383 manifold to the heads or if yall recommend using additional gaskets to help it seal??? Any insight is appreciated.

Most the time the gaskets are a ***** to get on with the valley pan.So I just use the valley pan with alittle high temp RTV just to be safe.I have never had any trouble doing it like this.I don't think the factory ever used gaskets with the valley pans anyway.. Jim
