Intake Manifold Removal

I am removing the 2bbl card and intake manifold off my 318. Does anyone have any tips/suggestions as to how to remove it? Should I just use a pry bar and try prying it from the front? :burnout:

i just took mine off and i just used a chain with a 2x4 through it and a blanket as a cushion on the fender, broke it loose and lifted it out.

Sounds like a plan. Currently staying with the in-laws so the car is parked in the driveway so tools and equipment are limited.

DO NOT use a pry bar on the flat rectangle top area of the timing cover.
Too many timing covers have been broken that way.
