Intake ports larger than head ports

New rpm heads and used intake. The intake ports on the bottom only are 2-3mm larger than than the head ports. Should I leave them alone and will it have any power loss or should I take a little from the heads and trim the gasket down a touch.

Any step going in will affect performance. It causes a turbulence. Smooth out the transition the best you can. Sane with exhaust leaving. Header/exhaust manifold should always be larger or the same.

Use the thickest gasket you can get.

If it's the port floor don't worry about it.
