Hey Folks,

I just wanted to post some pics of something we are putting the finishing touches on. This is an intake that uses a modman base (which I believe they make for every mopar engine). The top is modular and fits them all.

I love it! I'm doing a twin turbo 408 gen 3 in a 71 cuda and this is a must have! Keep us posted! Thanks

That looks nice, but what's it "intercooled" with? Engine coolant? That would heat it up, not cool it off.

Water/ice and water wetter. It usually has a 60 degree temp drop across the cooler. It's been wildly successful on my ls powered turbo cars. The one pictured is a gen3 hemi

Very nice looking and compact! Reminds me of the opposite, an intake heater for some diesel engines.

pricing?? I'd bet the LA modman would bolt up to it also. Do you work for 417?

it will bolt right up to any modman. pricing depends on what all you need. i do not work for 417, i took tjem the idea for the project and i got the first one for my car

Gotchya. How long does that stuff usually last?

what you should do? if it was me i would run a/c to it from the low side line? since your rich!lol

gotta ice it every run, but normal driving it keeps everything nice and cool

Yeah I was gonna say that even with no ice, it's probably a lot cooler than a regular intake.

What kindof flow restriction does that pose on an n/a car?

That looks really impressive!

I've actually been working on something similar for about 8 months now using a mixed bag of OEM components and some "backyard" engineering and ingenuity. Fingers crossed it will come to fruition and be functional. Mine will certainly never look as pretty as yours though!

So if im reading this correctly the modman intake plate is the same mounting bolt pattern as the LSX intake??? or did the top plate of the modman was make to fit?
