Painted the rear interior side panels of my 67 Barracuda convertible. They are made of plastic and I used MOPAINT rattle cans. Paint is two years old and when it went on it looked great then it dried and had a sun baked finish. Very dry texture anyone have any ideas????

What color were/are you shooting?

Some of the interior paints are luster/suede (sp?) finish, and will dry that way.

For instance, my 69 Barracuda uses the Baltic blue suede finish, and also the Thunder poly blue which is gloss.

You really dont want a high gloss on interior panels or platic or metal.
Gloss will show every little smudge or fingerprint ( ask me how I know ).
The verts rear panels should match the door metal at the top portion in a medium gloss and the lower portion should match the vynil door skins in nearly flat or very low gloss.
