It is always great to meet new Mopar folks! I am the original owner, of a 71 Duster 340 Class 1 Show Car. I also repair, calibrate all Gauges, Speedometers, Tacs & Detail Mopar instrument panels. A New Tac can be installed into panel clusters from behind like OEM & can be put in the A-Body Brown Rectangle panel as well. If you or friends need help or have questions, I would be glad to assist & have several restoration pictures.

All the Best,

John

My factory tach in my 68 Barracuda is not working and I would like to restore it rather than go aftermarket. I`ve tried bypassing everything and straight wiring it but she still won`t budge. Is there anything I should look for before shipping it off to someone like yourself for repair? Thanks

got an pictures of the before and after kind? i would also like to see the tach install on a Rectangle panel as well........

Hi John,

I can help you with your Tach. It sounds like you have done everything you can. I have repaired several of these Tach’s in the past.

Please email me at Ajohn2kinc@aol.com. Put Inst Pnl in the Email Subject area so I know you. Thanks!

Hi!

I have several pictures of the Tachometer Installation in the A-Body Standard Panel.

Please email me at Ajohn2kinc@aol.com. Put Inst Pnl in the Email Subject area so I know you. Thanks!

I am certain there are MANY of us who would like to see these pics. Why don't you post them up here please, so we may all check it out, I am sure it would create more interest in what it is you say you can do.

Personaly, I do not care for people who's only contribution to a bulletin board like this one
(where everyone post's questions, share's advice and expierence's, share's pictures and info about their vehicles),
is constant advertisement, NOTHING else.

You may be very good at restoring or servicing instrument clusters, but your contribution to this BBS has been null. You use it as free advertisment and free advertisement only, in my book that runs in the line of spam. You even failed to answer a specific question directed to you by orangedust in this thread (your thread btw) --->You ignoring a question or the question by Longgone in this very thread, which you have not answered and have ignored to this point other than to say "e-mail me". Even though you have stated that "Electrical Advise & Instrument Panel Consulting as always is Free!" in another of your 7 advertisement post's.

Sorry, but "E-mail me" dosn't help out the next 5, 10, 50 or more people who may have these same questions 2, 4, 10 years down the road, and by then you may have croaked from a heart attack, or car crash or something, and all your claimed knowledge is lost and your not there to be "E-mailed" anymore. (I have run into this with stuff in the past)

Sorry if this comes across as a rant, but I am in hope that it will motivate you to become more a MEMBER of the group instead of just a leaching spammer.

Stepping down from milkcrate.

seems spammy.....dunno maybe it's the repeat of "mopar folks" or something...

well worded Kraby.....now proof will be in the response...

:worthles:

your turn a2johnkinc.

blind :glasses1:...stirs the kettle....

I am not going to touch that one. I don't even know if any of you know where I work but it is in this field. I do not have the answers to the questions that everyone has asked as they have done what I would have told them to do. I have learned that if you are willing to share knowledge people will be more willing to give you their money when it comes time that that has to be done. So in my works start sharing or start walking.

Can you tell me what you may charge (in general) for a cluster chrome replate for a 71 Demon? Do you also do the woodgrain replacement? I am sure there are other people that may be interested in seeing some pics of your work- Thanks!
