ipod hookup

someone a while back stated that you can hook up a Ipod to an car amp, and play it direct, just hook up speakers. Has anyone done this tell me what I need , I have an amp, and ipod , my 63 Dart needs more then am . I looked into secret audio, but too much money from my SS check, thanks Jim.

An adapter cable with 1/8 stereo jack on one end and whatever the amp connection is on the other.
Radio shack carries all kinds of premaid cables for most anything.
I make my own, usually because I have all the stuff to do it.

Ipod headphone jack to the amp, and the amp to the speakers. (easy)

Does your ipod have bluetooth ?
I am using this for my android in my Chrysler.

I just put a iPod / Sirius radio I n my 64 Dart. The are a lot of cheap amps on eBay that will do the trick and will fit under the dash or seat.
