I went through this whole drill when deciding on which set up to use. From 70 up the aluminum water pump was used and it had its own brackets compared to the other set up. I think that you can cobble a set up together with the old pump not sure what will and wont work. I went with this set up because a buddy gave me a complete 70 and up p/s pump and brackets complete. I have also noticed that there is a lot more bracketry available on the 70 and up set up aftermarket. I bought the alternator brackets off ebag for less than 20 bucks. The only thing I havent straightend out yet is the pulley situation.
