in long, look at the box of your spraygun and you should see requirements and reccomendations
here is a generic one from a harbor freight gun

this tell us how much CFM it draws at 40 PSI
that will be the bottom end of what works, you want to be above that

keep in mind your compressor has its rating listed at 90PSI so you got to figure out how to convert that
 
If it's not an OEM resto or a show car, I had my local auto paint supplier mix up 2 cans of spray paint for me and I sprayed my engine compartment. Came out really nice and it has held up excellent for about 10 years.
 
.........And a word about compressor ratings......... Decades ago, I worked for a parts outfit "and found out" this........

"Real" old school compressors were rated by cfm airflow at 90psi

Then Wards, Sears, I don't know who........found you could advertise flow at 40 psi and make the same compressor "sound bigger."

Then some bright boy found out you can rate them at SUCTION airflow, and make the same compressor sound REALLY large.
