Car was originally /6 with manual 3 speed (think it's known as A230). A833 4 speed OD installed using same drive shaft which I did not expect. I suspect, if A833 4 speed is installed, drive shaft should work. Differential is the original 7 1/4. This will be a temporary install until 8 3/4 is installed. To sum it all up. The A230, A833OD and A833 are all the same length and accept the same yolk. Is this correct?

To be sure, I would measure center to center of the u joints with the car on all four wheels. It could be catastrophic if the shaft is too long. "Measure twice, cut once."

Thanks for the reply. Was hoping someone had experience in transmission swapping to know. OD transmission was removed so this comes after the fact. Based on what I see, the shaft should work but as you say, it may work but be too long.
