rustycowl, you are right about the 2.7 engine, which was really too bad because aside from the internal water pump, it was the typical, nicely-engineered Chrysler motor that was capable of going for a long time. I always felt that Chrysler should have protected its reputation by doing a voluntary recall on these motors after developing improved water pump seals so this kind of thing would never happen. But as others have said, manufacturers don't seem to care too much about their reputation any more.
