Had my car sold today.....till he whipped out a check....sorry, no deal....I've always paid cash for every vehicle I've ever bought......its a different world today...how does everybody else deal with $$$$$

Yep, same here. Had a piece of equipment for sale a couple of weeks ago......guy says I'll take it and whips out a check. I say sorry, cash only. He starts telling me, but it's from a big company...blah, blah, blah.

He came back in a couple of hours with the green stuff.....negotiable tender 8)

Cash or certified check or Postal Service money order. Unless it's someone who has earned my trust already. Otherwise, if they are intent on me accepting a check, then I'm intent on holding on to the goods until the check clears. There are damn few people I trust when dealing, but 1/2 of them are on this site.
