Is this a possible swap

what i have is a 1979 4x4 sno commando with a 360 4bbl 727 and my question is can i take thr transfer case adapter off and bolt a standard tail shaft housing on and install into a car???? of course the pan and oil pickup will need to be changed along with a few other small parts.

help i cant make up my mind 400 bb or 360 sb or the factory /6=P~

I do believe that you'll also need the main shaft out of another 727 along with the regular car tail shaft, May be much easier to get a complete and rebuilt 727 to bolt in instead of swapping parts and main shaft.

well i mean thats the only runner i have in 360 format i guess i'll yank the motor out of truck and sell the rest and buy me another trans.
