Was shooting for msd dist at first then the number crunching came ,
and for now ended that ,so wound up with this unit .
An Engine Works outlaw series billet piece
based on msd design and supposedly compatable with 6al.
My questions are
1. Is it reliable enough to trust
2. 3 wire hook-up ,two to coil and third to solid ground (what about the
current wiring that exists in the loom?)
Electonic ignition is still all intact, just dont want to
hack anything before asking as many redundant ?'s as possible.
Can deal with all kinds of problems under the hood ,many with help from this
site, but now i'm in the ropes and my head hurts from
staring at this too long :banghead:

Dizzy I hate this term are you lost please its a simple device sends sparks out to the hole its pointed at.

Without something, Brand, part number, photos, we don't even know what you "have."

Quicker to type ,and def agree with cudajunction.
Not fond of alot of the short terms used.
As for my issue, it is simple to understand, if you've
dealt with the changes to wiring when it comes to
what can stay and what is unnessary regarding other
components. What i have is a Engine Works (Outlaw Series)
Part # 4RTR-318 distributor billet housing, no instructions
Website explaining almost nothing and a phone i work off of that
cant or wont load pics.
My actual problem is the three wires that all have coil connectors on them
If its wired the way the website has , two to the coil posts and third to a fixed ground
that leaves existing wires routed to all other ignition points out of the loop
All apoligies for the confusion , this is above my pay grade and taken its toll for the day

Thank you all for the help and time spent researching
Any info on that distributor, should have just sucked it
up and bought better and smarter
Thank you
Dart 273

And especially to CudaJunction, for the much needed rock in the forehead
Much better clarity n the slap i needed to slow down and pay attention to the simple things
Without over complicating it
Once again thank u all
