Easy for me! I went to school with an Iskendarian. I have no idea if there related.

Funny story….. The wife has seen Da’Man up top name before. It’s been brought up over the last 36 years here and there LOL!

Well she is a nurse and went in to call on a patient for the doctor, yep! Lo and behold, “Mrs. Iskendarian! The Doctor will see you now.”
She said the women lit up and smile saying, “How did you know how to say my name? No one gets it right.”

For fun one day, I searched the web for how many Iskendarians there are in the US. Answer - NOT very many at all!

May Ed live past 117!

When we were just dating,
(oh good heavens this goes back… almost sounds awful.)
She was 16, I was building my first engine, I asked for the piston and rod assembly to slide into the block, I reached over, grabbed the piston and rod, tugged on it, tugged again, I looked up and said, “Come on now, give it here, I’m ready for it.” Like she froze up or something. She said - “No, I’m installing it.”

I’ll just get to the end…..

I couldn’t pull it out of her hands, (King King / G.I. W/the Kung-Fu grip she has!

**** it! Install it! It better not **** up!
It didn’t.

Fast forward to just a few years back, she, NOT I! Is setting up her own roller rocker arms on her Trick Flow heads for her own car on the kitchen table that she bought with her money.

Yep! Home run!

My daughter married into a Armenian family. I was fortunate enough when she got married to meet my son in laws elders who were still alive and shared with me the stories as told first hand to them by their elders about the Armenian holocaust
Many of those elders if still alive would be of Ed's age today
Ed Iskenderian is first generation of survivors of that holocaust, immigrants who came to America for freedom and a better life and thats what makes this country so great
Ed Iskenderian is what innovation is all about, a national treasure and God Bless him

I have no idea where Ed is from, there is zero tip off with his last name. It’s not a popular last name anywhere in the world.

Thanks. The only draw back is when she starts eye balling your parts for her car. She got a bit upset and started in with women logic on my parts.

I just said, “No, you can’t help yourself to one of my 4spd manual transmissions & keep your hands off of my power supply. I busted my *** for them, you can pay for your own parts. DONT help yourself to mine!

She got upset for a bit and realized she was wrong in assuming she could help herself to my stuff. But it was more of the assumption that got her barred from my parts.

So hence so opened up her purse for the cylinder heads.

Ask and you shall receive, assume and you get jack ****!
And yep, even after 35+ years. Love her much but you still gotta ask.

Just curious, where did you look the last name up?

I betcha there are 5 in the entire US with my last name, plus a cousin who I think is here on a work visa, out in Arizona

But it would be fun to verify that
