All tech’ed in and ready to go. My generator and quad didn’t fight me as much as I figured for their first startup of the year. On standby for call to the lanes.

Well that stunk. Started to heat my tires and a ford mustang had his fiberglass frontend fly off for the second time (did it last year too) and shatter all over both lanes. Sat behind the water box for over an hour while they did a track cleanup and never checked the starting line. I spun like there was snow on the ground. Due to the long cleanup second time trial has been canceled. This stinks.

That sucks. Hopefully the day gets better for you

It's always something isn't it. 3rd pass of tnt last night the pair in front of me takes off and while I'm moving into the water in the right lane, left lane guy proceeds to grenade his transmission and dump all his fluid on the track. Fortunately I was able to back out and get back to my trailer where I sat for an hour, but at least it wasn't race day. Hang in there!

I would ask for a time trial pass since you didn't really get one.

Actually I got some bad info from three different guys. We got two time trials but I stunk it up too. Hope to get at least one good pass so I fell good going into next weeks race.

Hope your opponent red-lights so you can run it out the back door and check your dial in. Go get em!

Well I stunk up first round and pretty much stunk up my buyback. Ran a 6.097 on a 6.10 dial against a 4.60 dragster. I took .004 stripe. I tried to line up my steering wheel in my shop and totally missed that. I may try to pull the steering shaft before I load up. I gotta get this right so my transbrake button is in the right spot so I can get comfortable again.

Yes they did. The sun went down some so I disconnected my rack and got my steering clocked in to hopefully where it should be. I better put on a better show next weekend. Now I can load up and head for home soon.
Well, I'm sure you will next weekend.

Well I looked at my paperwork and the last pass last year was a 6.08. And my last pass Saturday was a 6.09 in worse air. I guess the leakdown and compression test I didn’t have time to do would have been a waste of time. I am seeing some smoke so I’m betting the used heads I bought, fixed, and ported over 10 years ago may have some valve guides going bad. Good excuse to finish this better set I started and try them out before the year is over.
