i just bought a spool type k member, after ripping several mounts from my old style.

anyone every reinforced a spool type, and do you have pictures for refrence? where is the weak link on the kmember?

Fully weld the tubes that the LCA's attach to. I have had one fail.

Here's several pic's of how I reinforced mine kinda followed along with Firm Feel did except without the hefty price tag then had it powdercoated satin black..reinforced the lower's too. Made and added a skid plate and tie down loop, all reinforcement plates and gussets are 1/8", the skid plate is 1/4" and the entire perimeter is welded solid then ground down to look nice.

you've done well this is a fine example to follow

Motor/mid plate??? I would like to see you tear them up :coffee2:

Here's what happens to the lower control arm recievers, the next pictures are a new K member that I'm reinforcing (thanks Ron, it's coming out great). I used plates instead of washers. The unfinished side will be done this weekend, it's too cold in the garage!!
