K-H front disc seal, what direction

So which direction does the open end of the disc brake seal go? Does the open end go towards the engine? You/I can't tell by the Service Manual print. Thax

If the piston seal is not symmetric, it needs to seal against the hydraulic, pushing out against

Nope, pic's work best. Spindle seal for KH front disc. I don't think it matters which direction

With a little grease in the cavity between the lips to keep the outer lip lubricated.

I had to think about that twice, to know we are saying the same thing. Open to inside of hub.

Correct. What's important is to learn which direction the LIP goes, because some seals are closed on both sides.

It seems the inner lips is designed to help tighten seal against shaft for internal pressure where oil or grease is. Seems when spring is used, it always goes on oil side.
