Heard on the radio earlier today, and then also sawq confirmation on MSN.com after I got home:
Kasey Kahne has informed RPM (Richard Petty Motorsports) that he will not return after the 2010 season and is taking his Budweiser sponsorship with him. MSN.com reports Kahne is signing with Stewart-Haas Racing for 2011 putting him in Hendrix chassis and engines with Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman next year.
The conjecture is this will allow Kahne to move to Hendrix Motorsports to replace Mark Martin in the #5 car in 2012 (Mark is under contract with Hendrix for the 2010 and 2011 seasons).
While I wish he was moving to Penske instead to drive a Mopar, I'm happier to see him on a top team driving bowties rather than blue ovals. This is a good career move for him.

[Addendum] I just read on www.nascar.com that Kahne has already signed with Hendrix starting with the 2012 season. It didn't say what the length of the contract is but I'd think it's a multi-year deal like Junior signed.

That is interesting. Stewart-Haas is going to need to do better if they want to sustain themselves in the longer term. "Smoke" is really dragging his butt this year. Fortunately, Ryan is pulling his weight.

:clock::clock::clock:I agree he should be in a dodge I'm shour he would have won 1or2 by know.I don't think he liked the change to ford in the first place. And I'm so glad he is not going to drive a Toyota. And I also think know the Toyota has got a good taste of penalty fines for there junk.I don't think there's much money for racing....And I'm soooo Happy yaaaaaaa hooooo!!!!! and heres to ya yota:thebirdm::thebirdm::thebirdm:
