Keep A Carburetor Looking New

Any tips on keeping a new Edelbrock satin finish carburetor looking like new? Someone said to spray WD-40 on it.

Dont spray carb cleaner on it, clean it with gas.

Its tough to do these days. The ethanol they blend in the gas is corrosive to aluminum. Wax would be an option.

Was not aware that ethanol was corrosive, methanol is. Shoot you carb with some starting fluid (ether) once and awhile. Engine cold. It won't attack the paint.
