kill stories

Ok guys this is from today in my 410 4spd 70 Dart!!!!!!!!!!

Drove car to work today, beautiful cool air in California. I live in Murrieta/Temecula kind of rural in some parts.

Think there is a car show or something in town this weekend, need to find out.

Took MADDART out for lunch and boy was she hungry today here is what was eatin' for lunch!

1) Z06 Corvette at a Roll from light, NO CHANCE after 1st & Second gear..Then he wanted NONE of it.
2) New Charger.......had no chance
3) Boosted Honda Car--that was a joke, felt sorry for the kid
4) 49 retro panel wagon tried to whole shot me...BADDDD DECISION 1st, 2nd-3rd.........dang where did he go??? Way back there!
5) 64 GTO, guy tried to go around me on a straight away right after the swooping right turn off the freeway. Rolled around me I was going about 20 mph in 2nd so I wicked it up and got it in 1st gear around 15mph, he jumps on it so I hit it and pull the guy at least 5 car lengths instantly, go to bang second and well I missed the shift and bounced off my Rev Limiter at 6800RPM he was coming up on me til I get it in second and go APE SHITT on his *** bang it into 3rd gear and I swear I launched another 5 cars look in my mirror and he is WAY back there. He pulls up next to me and says DAMN that thing runs Really Good. So I talk to him out the window for about 10 seconds and I see my next VICTIM in a 69 El Camino SS396, I started taunting the guy while at the red light so we turn onto a Rural Road away from almost everything and everybody. I am in first gear as we turn the corner at about 3800 rpm he takes off so I short shift it into second and just stand on it, the shocks topped out instantly and I am totally gonna smash into the guy if I dont let off, by the way my car in no way hooked it was BLOWING the tires off for about 65 ft or so and sounded like it was going to Suck in birds and anything else in the way. So I let off he pulls in the next lane, I am in 2nd gear and he decides he wants NONE of it!!! Pull up to a light and there is a Beautiful Acura NSX so the guy is looking at me we take off with NOBODY in front of us but behind us was the 64 GTO and the 69 Elcamino. The guy rolled out and then TOTALLY stood on it almost got me by surprise cuzz I was thinking NO WAY will he try anything, So I stand on it in 1st gear at a roll and I pulled him by about 1.5 car lengths he is still on it I can see him in my side mirror, I grab second gear and pull him another 3 cars at least, he is still on it I bang it into 3rd and man I really started movin some ground took it to around 6k in third look in my mirror and he is WAY back there. I slow down to cruzing speed he comes next to me with a big grinnnnnn and thumbs up.... I wave at them all and turn off to head back to the office.........I still got a Big *** grin on my face, you know the kind that stays there for awhile?

Damn that was some fun stuff!!

I gotta finish my stroker.:spiderma:

Great stories, one of my first kills was in my first car, a 1964 Dodge Polara 500 with a bone stock 318 2bbl. automatic. A friend I worked with had a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL with a 352 4 speed, we would trade off who drove when we went out to lunch and to be honest his Ford felt like it was a lot quicker than my Dodge. He used to tell me that he could blow my doors off and it sure felt like it, he would even tease me and say "floor it! Well one day it happened and he lined up next to me at a stop light for a real test.
When the light turned green we both hit it and he made all kinds of noise and bounced around like usual but my Dodge just squatted and ran off and left him! The next day at work he accused me of "sandbagging" when we went to lunch but I just told him what my Dad always told me, " Fords and Chevys are sprung weak, Mopars have a stiffer suspension, ride stiffer so they dont give you a false sense of speed. I have a lot more kill stories but this was my first and it happened in 1971 shortly before I bought my new 1971 Duster 340. Got some stories about it too! :burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout:

man it sure is hard to keep your foot out of the loud peddle when your roaming the streets isnt it! i dont consider myself a street racer by any means the risk of injury to everyone involved is too great plus who wants to get there A body impounded?? not me. that being said....there is a service road that gos to a highway right around the corner from my house, and it has a dead straight 1/4 mile shot into a slight bend for another 1/4 mile and i consider it my personal test/tune dragstrip but only in the wee hours of the morning when the roads are clear. i can literaly make a full pass, have room to slow the car down , hop off te service road n be back in the garage in 30 seconds.

Late 80's I had a 340 Duster with a little work done to it but I was only late teens so I didn't really understand what I bought. It had driveshaft loops so I knew it had some past. I raced everything I could find back then in Soo Canada and never lost a race. Mostly Z28's, some early 5.0 Mustangs, 6.6 Trans Am and big block Olds. It would pull hard until 6500+ rpm and 140+ on the speedo. I won every stupid race I ever tried then some guy from Wawa showed up in a 67/68 Camaro with slicks and some crazy gears and got me. Pulled the front wheels a ton. My 70 340 Duster wasn't the prettiest car in town but it was close to the fastest back then.

Different twist on this one.Had a 70 El Camino (396 solids 4.11s bla bla).Picked up a 67 cuda notch,$150.Pick up a 360/727 combo,$300.Headers,3.55 gears, road runner converter, horsetrading.Had 1200 in the car(1995).Needed money, sold it.He puts 273 rockers on it.Goes to the Direct Connection tuning book for the Thermoquad. We both show up at Famoso at test and tune.I am excited to see he got it running.First run, heads up.My megadollar rat has a fender on him in the 1/8.Finally,headwork and compression (cubic money)wins. From than day on ,I prefer small block A bodies. And how I ended up here.

fast and furious is what killed street racing...here you had guys racing for years, rarely if ever hurting anyone besides themselves (and thats if they hurt themselves) and then as soon as the movie came out every punk in his moms civic thought he was a race car driver and started racing on major roads filled with cars doing things as though they were invincible...like the kid a couple of weeks ago-140 in a 70 zone???what are you thinking???

I just hope the cops dont bother me...especially when im goin at it with my buddies lol
before that movie,we raced all night long.the ricers AND the fools doing sideshows screwed it all up for us street racing.we were in oakland.

just put a pnp 360 out of a cordoba in my 70 sat.it had a 650 dp holley wieand x type intake the 318 manifolds going to 2 1/2 ex with 3 chamber flows 904 trans go kit and 294 open rear ,going home from work,a bunch of guys messing around in a 5.0 mustang,we're first at the red light, turns green hit it in low column shift second it chirps i hear the mustang rip second a carlenght behind.it was real funny they couldn't belive i beat them with a cordoba engine.couple years later the 70 gets a rossi recipe 440 11 to 1 home ported 906s solid cam 540 304 super comps 391s ran 12.40 flat every time.had a stock converter.left off idle.rich kid in a 390 mach 1 starts talking, say's a bunch of garbage about whats in it.after hearing i wont run him he talks more crap so i run it pulled him so bad i let off to see if he even left.he was pissed raced again beat him real bad and 4 other guys he knew lost races against me it was great...thats why i'm bad440....lol

Notice my signature, it still happens.

First, I was about 6 0r 7, Dad's friend just finished an LS6 chevelle, lot's of money in that BBC and was a very nice car. They decide to go for a "drive" somehow I end up going along with dad in "Limey", his lime green, barn fresh for 20 some years now 70 Mr. Norms' Challenger 383 4spd R/T. Limey spent most of the 70's and 80's street racing and breaking hearts and parts. It was a solid cammed race gas suckin beast in it's day. Chevelle wanted a heads up start, dad says "Go, I'll catch up real soon" LOL he was right and it got so bad he lifted before the quarter mark came up and yo bet your sweet *** the hazards got turned on!!!

Now, I'm 22 and hurting feelings with a very simple and capable 367 in a Duster. Went to a car show at the local furd dealer, big thing every year and mustang ppl love me!(not at all) So I'm leaving and a newer Roush supercharged car comes flying up on me and cuts through traffic to be next to some dumb kid with too little money in this old mopar. He revs it up, I put it up on the 4500 converter (shoulda been a sign to him) Green light all I do is launch and the M/T's hook about 20ft later. In the other lane it's just blower and tire noise. Dumb mopar kid 1 - fancy stang 0.
Next light it goes even worse for him since I already hat heat in the tires. Third light he's lookin at me all goofy and says "I'd kill you at a track!!" I said "well Mr. if I ever have too much money and a mid life crisis I'm gona get a car like yours but fast"
Now for some reason he's pissed IDK why forgot his golf clubs I guess, this light leads to the highway and out of town so I have room to stretch my legs, This time I give him the hit and still ran him down. He learned that I'm an asshole and that sometimes that dumb kid with the mopar will straight F#*K your day up.

Another kill story from my oldies vault. This one also circa 1971 and involved my 1971 Duster 340 I bought new. I was 19 and still living with my parents who moved from Indy to Nashville Tenn. I had owned my Duster about a month and had it running the way I wanted and was on my way back to Indy to visit friends and relatives and to show off my new car to a certain young lady I had met shortly before I moved south.
I worked afternoon shift so I went home after work, showered and grabbed my bag and headed up I-65 north to Indy. Somewhere around Bowling Green KY. some jerk in a 67 SS 396 Chevelle (butternut yellow) passes me then cuts over in front of me then slows down.
The speed limit was 70 and I was tooling at just less than 80 to play it safe. I swung out into the left lane to pass him then he sped up, I slowed down, he slowed down, so it was obvious he wanted to play. The next time I sped up and then he sped up I hit it and so did he.... needless to say I walked off and left him. I think I left him so fast he opened his door to get out to see why his car had stopped! lol After proving my point I thought I had better slow down cause I had to be doing about 100 mph by now. I looked at my speedometer and I was doing 135 and still climbing! Never saw that Chevelle again. :burnout::burnout::burnout::burnout:

Kid in a $100.000 LAMBORGHINI v12 lined up against my 62 Valiant slant six at the track and got beat bad.Came up to me and asked how I could possibly beat him.Told him the truth,I have a pure race car that was built for one purpose. Also told him he could cruise all day long at 150mph with the air and stereo on with a hot chick next to him,,,and I couldnt do any of those things.Think he felt better after that.Guzzi Mark

So I'm leaving and a newer Roush supercharged car comes flying up on me and cuts through traffic
since you brought up Mustangs...
* I pulled up beside a new 5.0 'stang this summer- turned out it was a guy I've known for years. We chatted a bit, by now the light has changed so we're doing a slow roll. I ask him "are those things as fast as I hear they are?" and he says "I dunno-let's find out". He tells me to go first, so I do. I pull through first gear, just before I shift I hear a loud BOV come from the other lane.
"WTF???" I say to myself.
I keep pulling in second, and he's still behind me. I go to almost the top of my second gear (about 70mph-I also hear the blowoff again when he hits third) and he's still back there. I let off and wait for him to get up beside me.
That's when I see the 'supercharged' script above the 5.0 badge. He says "that's a pretty fast car you got there..."
He said he missed a shift, and I pretty much gotta believe him- the blower kits for those put them up to about 525 or 620-ish hp, depending on the kit.

*this was in my Stealth- my Duster wasn't done yet, and it would have got murdered anyways lol.

OK! instead of taking time to tell some of my grudge match stories I will post a couple of videos of a couple of kills. I also will post some videos of burn outs in front of Porkys on the last week end it was open...Cops did not bother us at all...IT WAS WAY COOL of them to send of porkys that way![ame="http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGN6R2VFUfA&list=UUdlhD9PxvN089Jp_viRAQ-w&index=6&feature=plcp"][ame="http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QpKfDRUDK0Y&list=UUdlhD9PxvN089Jp_viRAQ-w&index=5&feature=plcp"][ame="http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1SZApygVRg&list=UUdlhD9PxvN089Jp_viRAQ-w&index=9&feature=plcp"][ame="http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4wxaWoRlkfA&list=UUdlhD9PxvN089Jp_viRAQ-w&index=8&feature=plcp"]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGN6R2VFUfA&list=UUdlhD9PxvN089Jp_viRAQ-w&index=6&feature=plcp[/ame]

My 73 340 duster. I was stationed @ Vandenburg AFB, Ca, and got a 90 day TDY to Whiteman AFB, MO. Just arrived in the area and had not checked in yet. Was driving DD rd from Warrensburg to Whiteman AFB, which is a "hilly" 10 mile long road. Following other (slower) cars to the back gate of the base, then a loud, white Camaro comes up on my rear, and tries to pass, but way too much oncoming traffic and too many hills. this went on for about 10 minutes.

Finally we get to one spot, long down hill, where you can see over 1 mile or so up the road and he flies around me. Well, I drop 2 gears and pull out right behind him, pull along side of him, make a big production of grabbing another gear and wind it out, pulling way ahead. Then grab 4th and pulled back in the right hand lane and let off. Brought it back down to almost 60 all the rest of the way there. He never passed me just stayed real close. Got on base and pulled into a parking lot by billeting, him still following. He pulled right behind me, so I got out, thinking "there's gonna be a fight."

First words out of his mouth were "What the h*ll you got in that thing?" Well of course being a wise guy, I said "Slant 6, stock" and had to laugh. Then I pointed to the stripes and large 340 on the rear quarter of it .

(Before I'd left California, I changed out the pumpkin in the 8.75 and had a open 2.94 for the trip in it.) While I was in Missouri, I put in my 3.55's back in, and had a blast! K.C.I.R.& Noland Rd. = 1 hour away. Turns out, that was the best base I was stationed @ in 20 years. Good times, Nice area, Nice folks! Actually got stationed there for 3 years after that.

I think the best one for me was me and my dad in his 94 3/4 ton conversion van with the 318. Pulled up next to a idiot in a ricer civic and the guy revs it up and takes off dad for the hell of it floors the van and we got a bark out of the 275/85/15 mud tires on the back and we catch the civic as he is grabbing 2nd we stayed right beside him till 3rd and the dubass completly missed it all we heard was waahhhhhh *grinding* waahhh *grinding* as we were pulling away. I dont know which was better the guys face or his girlfriends.

Another one I remember in the van lol was it vs a 93 Lincoln town car with the 4.6 we ran a 1/2 mile or so from a 30 roll and boy did we smoke that lincoln up to around a 105-110 where the vans computer said no faster
You can imagine a honda getting beat by a van sounding like this has to be embarrassing.
[ame=http://www.streetfire.net/video/me-and-my-dads-van-couple-of-revs-may-be-a-v_134712.htm]me and my dad's van couple of revs May be a v[/ame]

Here's an unbelievable one. Me and this Subaru WRX are at a stop light. We don't do anything and it is just that feeling of racing in the air. So the light turns green fter 2-3 minutes. I'm watching the yellow light for cross traffic. No one is turning left so, I lay it on when the light changes. I'm no speeder and I don need a ticket so I don't do much more than 5 over the limit. Anyways I get a 2 car-length lead on the WRX in about 500-600 feet and so I win. Here's the amazing part: it was in a '98 Ford Econoline. 7000lbs, 215 hp and 235 lb-ft of torque. All I can say is, "Heart of a Mustang"
