knuckle bolts too long?

didn't use the splash shield, bolted on the knuckle to the lower ball joint. these are parts from a 76 duster. is it me or are these bolts a little too long? there's probably about 1/2-3/4" sticking out from the back. i'm worried that the bolts will hit the LCA when the steering is turned lock to lock.
 
will that cause any problems getting the nuts to rethread if you ever have to take it apart? sometimes hacksawing threads aren't the best idea.
 
if you cut it with the nut on, it will be fine...I use 1/32 cut off wheel for a real nice cut, then just grind it smooth to the nut head...
 
Mine are the same way.
I though it was going to be a problem, but it isn't.
There are stop nubs on the LBJ that hit the LCA before the bolt ends do.
