Hey all! I’m looking for a damaged ‘73 to ‘76 A body disc brake knuckle for some measurements and mockups. I have a functioning pair on my car, so not looking to buy something nice. Looking for something inexpensive and obviously I’m willing to cover shipping as well. Either side will work but probably not worth paying shipping on a pair. Please shoot me a pm and let me know if you can help me out. Thank you!

Have a good pair of knuckles you can have for $25.00 + shipping.

Give me a zip code and will run the PirateShip calculator.

My zip code is 65708. A good pair of 73-76 disc brake knuckles is worth a good bit better than $25. I certainly don't want to short change you. I am just looking at retrofitting 2010 mustang GT brakes to the front of my car and don't want to disassemble it to go through the mock up process.

Sorry to jump in on this but, can you tell me what the difference is between drum & disc spindles on 73-76 A-bodies? Is it the bearing race areas? Ball joint fitment? Just curious. Thanks.

As I understand it, the ball joint fitment is the same on ‘73 up disc and drum knuckles. I believe that the difference lies in the mounting of caliper brackets, vs. the drum backing plate, etc. I may be off base here, this is just my perception of what I’ve read on the site.

Thanks for the info.

The spindle diameter did get larger for the disk brakes of that year. Don't think there is anything similar to disk and drum brake spindles. I'm not really the guy to ask. Put them on my car just to get the disk brakes. Regarding the knuckles. They have small rust pitting issues. Even usable. But I don't need them nor would I use them. Glad to see them go to someone that can use them.
